Triodos Bank uses money to deliver positive social and environmental change to improve people’s quality of life. It is a European Bank, with a single mission, set of values and principles. And its European network is at the heart of these efforts to deliver its mission.

Its European branches put Triodos Bank’s mission into practice, integrating sustainability with the business of banking. It aims to offer a combination of retail banking, loans and overdraft facilities, and payment services. Investment accounts and private banking services are offered in some, but not all the countries, where Triodos Bank operates.

Triodos Bank recognises and nurtures diversity within unity; the values that bind its customers and co-workers are the same, while differences in markets and cultures influence how these are applied domestically. So while Triodos is one bank, driven by the same mission, regulations, tax incentives and government approaches to sustainability, for instance, are sometimes very different in diverse markets, requiring different approaches.

Triodos Bank’s growth across Europe is organic. It only considers opening offices in other countries when local professional and committed people are driven to do that. In this way Triodos Bank responds to a potential market for its approach, rather than developing new regions from a distance.
